The story of how our team came to meet Makisu goes back to 2012, before the opening of the first Makisu restaurant in Brussels. On their return from a world tour, Laurie and Antoine came to our studio with a head full of new ideas.

The result is a complete graphic universe that retraces part of their great journey and their passion for maki and sushi with a sunny touch, a nod to their time in California.

The year is 2021, and at last, after many openings and collaborations in various restaurants in Brussels, we have a Makisu in Liège. More than just a dream, it’s with great pride that we’ve come up with a new graphic universe based on the imagery of Japanese koinobori. On the road again…
